Whether your story’s just beginning, beautifully unfolding, or coming to a close, as your Life Celebrant, I’ll help you create meaningful ceremonies, and support you in the lead up to them.
A moment to pause...
A space to breathe...
A way to make sense of everything that’s changing.
Sometimes this means a calm and steady presence in the middle of something hard. Sometimes, it means shaping a ‘goodbye’ that feels true, personal, and healing. Other times, it’s planning your own version of a unique wedding or welcome-to-the-world ceremony.
And that’s exactly what I’m here for.

Lives beautifully honoured
“We wish to thank Ann Scholz our Celebrant for the gracious manner in which she conducted the funeral ceremony of our dear Mother. Ann showed us a unique understanding of the sadness and grief we faced whilst making us feel comforted at a time we felt most vulnerable. From our first meeting through to our final goodbyes Ann made evident the love she has for her vocation as proven by her deep compassion and her calm demeanor. Our Mother would have been proud that her service was so elegant and engaging. The celebration of our Mother’s life will be forever a beautiful memory, thank you Ann,”

Love stories told
“Ann demonstrates compassion, empathy and great communication skills. We highly recommend you choose Ann as your qualified marriage celebrant. Ann was informative and creative with her ideas for our celebration. She pays particular attention to detail, some of which we hadn’t thought of. While discussing the seriousness of our decision to marry, Ann also brought humour into our discussion and gave us confidence that she would be fabulous on our special day. We were so happy to have Ann with us on our Wedding Day, and our guests still say that it was the best Wedding they have ever been to.”
– Sheila & Peter, Woodhill, QLD
Support before, during, and after ‘goodbye’.
Perhaps you never thought much about death (and dying) and aren’t aware of what support and choices you might have.
But now the moment is here.
Your person has died. Or is dying.
Or maybe you’re facing your own inevitable goodbye.
I won’t sugarcoat it. It’s tough. It’s unfair. It’s messy and raw.
And the truth is — most of us were never taught how to talk about it, let alone live through it.
That’s why I do this work.
To help minimise the complexity of grief. To make the hard calls a little easier.
And to shape a goodbye that is true to your person.
As a death care worker, I offer a variety of services which may include:
Gentle guidance in the final months, weeks, or days — someone to walk beside you, listen deeply, understand your choices, and help you prepare.
24/7 support to arrange and oversee the funeral process — with or without a ceremony. From transfers and legal paperwork to liaising with crematoriums and returning ashes.
Whether it be a direct cremation, a large funeral or something in between, you will be supported through it all.
Personalised ceremonies that honour life and leave those left behind feeling just a little more whole —
funeral, memorial, or living wake.
In liaison with you, I develop and deliver a service that is authentic and uniquely yours.
As every situation is unique, pricing depends on your choices.
Reach out for a no-pressure chat — together we’ll explore the options according to your wishes and your budget.
‘I dos’ that sets the stage for your love story
Whether it’s short and sweet or full of personal stories, I’ll help you shape a ceremony that reflects who you are, what you value, and how you love.
Pricing package - $850.00
Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is to support the children.
I offer a service for families going through separation where children are involved. It’s called an “Always Yours” ceremony — the first of its kind, developed in collaboration with child psychologist Dr Kate Owen.
The goal? To help your child feel safe, seen, supported and loved, through the changes and into the future.
Pricing:
Varies depending on individual circumstances.
For when life begins — and you want to mark the moment with meaning.
Together, we can create what I like to call a “Welcome to the World” ceremony — a gentle, joyful celebration to honour your baby’s arrival, your journey to this moment, and the people who will walk beside your child as they grow.
Pricing package - $450.00
For decades I worked as a palliative care nurse. My passion is for each person to have the best life possible and ultimately, the best death. But over time, that level of care within an under-resourced system led to burn-out.
That experience redirected me.
Now as a Life Celebrant I get to do what I love, giving people the time they deserve, holding space and honouring life in all its forms.
I know what a privilege it is to be invited into someone’s life at such a tender moment — and I don’t take it lightly.
Yours truly,
I work in partnership with Picaluna Beautiful Funerals.
Picaluna is a community of like-minded people, helping families to create more authentic, compassionate and affordable cremations, burials and memorials.
Picaluna is changing the way funerals are done for the better. This change is underpinned by their core purpose to help communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal and rejuvenate. Picaluna also chooses to donate 5% of any profit to one of Picaluna’s Charity partners, of your choice.
Want to know more about Picaluna?
Call, email, or send a message through my contact form — whatever feels easiest. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just reach out, and we’ll take it from there.
We’ll sit down for a relaxed, open conversation. You can ask questions, share what’s in your heart, or simply talk things through.
I’m here to help.
