Because every life is
a story worth telling

Whether your story’s just beginning, beautifully unfolding, or coming to a close, as your Life Celebrant, I’ll help you create meaningful ceremonies, and support you in the lead up to them.

Through life’s biggest transitions, we all look for something to hold onto…

A moment to pause...
A space to breathe...

A way to make sense of everything that’s changing.

Sometimes this means a calm and steady presence in the middle of something hard. Sometimes, it means shaping a ‘goodbye’ that feels true, personal, and healing. Other times, it’s planning your own version of a unique wedding or welcome-to-the-world ceremony.

And that’s exactly what I’m here for.

Hi, I'm Ann
and I’ve spent a lifetime guiding people through love, loss, and everything in between.

From farewells and weddings
to new beginnings and family change.

Deaths

Support before, during, and after ‘goodbye’.

Perhaps you never thought much about death (and dying) and aren’t aware of what support and choices you might have.
But now the moment is here.

Your person has died. Or is dying.
Or maybe you’re facing your own inevitable goodbye.

I won’t sugarcoat it. It’s tough. It’s unfair. It’s messy and raw.
And the truth is — most of us were never taught how to talk about it, let alone live through it.

That’s why I do this work.

To help minimise the complexity of grief. To make the hard calls a little easier.

And to shape a goodbye that is true to your person.

As a death care worker, I offer a variety of services which may include:

End-of-Life Support

Gentle guidance in the final months, weeks, or days — someone to walk beside you, listen deeply, understand your choices, and help you prepare.

24/7 support to arrange and oversee the funeral process — with or without a ceremony. From transfers and legal paperwork to liaising with crematoriums and returning ashes.

Whether it be a direct cremation, a large funeral or something in between, you will be supported through it all.

Personalised ceremonies that honour life and leave those left behind feeling just a little more whole —
funeral, memorial, or living wake.

In liaison with you, I develop and deliver a service that is authentic and uniquely yours.

  • Ash scatterings,
  • pet farewells, or
  • planning your own funeral in advance.

As every situation is unique, pricing depends on your choices.

Reach out for a no-pressure chat — together we’ll explore the options according to your wishes and your budget.

Weddings

‘I dos’ that sets the stage for your love story

Whether it’s short and sweet or full of personal stories, I’ll help you shape a ceremony that reflects who you are, what you value, and how you love.

What's included
  • At least 3 meetings to plan, rehearse and officiate your marriage.
  • A fully collaborative planning process, where we co-create your ceremony script and structure.

  • A full ceremony script, keepsake copy, and commemorative certificate on the day.
  • All legal paperwork managed — including applying for your official marriage certificate and following up afterward.
  • Unlimited contact with me by phone or email (ask away!).

(I do love to travel — so if you’re further out, just reach out and we’ll chat.)

Separations

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is to support the children.

I offer a service for families going through separation where children are involved. It’s called an “Always Yours” ceremony — the first of its kind, developed in collaboration with child psychologist Dr Kate Owen.

The goal? To help your child feel safe, seen, supported and loved, through the changes and into the future.

Pricing:
Varies depending on individual circumstances.

What's included
  • A meeting to learn your family’s story and understand your child’s needs.
  • Separate conversations with each parent — so I can gather your words.
  • A thoughtfully crafted script that shares:
    – Gratitude for the past
    – Honesty about the present
    – Reassurance and vows about the values you’ll both continue to uphold for your child/children.
  • Delivery of a gentle age-appropriate ceremony
  • A commemorative script for each child to keep, and a gift of an age-appropriate book (with your approval)
  • Unlimited contact with me by phone or email in the development of the ceremony.

Births

For when life begins — and you want to mark the moment with meaning.

Together, we can create what I like to call a “Welcome to the World” ceremony — a gentle, joyful celebration to honour your baby’s arrival, your journey to this moment, and the people who will walk beside your child as they grow.

Pricing package - $450.00

What's included
  • Two meetings — one to get to know you, your child, and the kind of ceremony you’d like, and one to finalise everything together.
  • A unique, age-appropriate script (if other children are included), approved by you.
  • Delivery of a ceremony that’s uniquely about your child, with a keepsake script and commemorative certificate.
  • Use of my high-quality PA system and music of your choice.
  • Unlimited contact with me by phone or email (ask away!).
  • Travel within 50km of the Gold Coast (further travel is negotiable).
An older woman with gray hair smiles softly while standing outdoors in sunlight. She wears a black dress with large pink and white floral prints and stands with her hands gently clasped. Trees and greenery are blurred in the background.

I’m the person who shows up with cuppas, a kind ear, and maybe even laughter — ready to hear your story and give you the time you deserve.

For decades I worked as a palliative care nurse. My passion is for each person to have the best life possible and ultimately, the best death. But over time, that level of care within an under-resourced system led to burn-out.

That experience redirected me.

Now as a Life Celebrant I get to do what I love, giving people the time they deserve, holding space and honouring life in all its forms.

I know what a privilege it is to be invited into someone’s life at such a tender moment — and I don’t take it lightly.

Yours truly,

Ann

A collaborative partnership

I work in partnership with Picaluna Beautiful Funerals.

Picaluna is a community of like-minded people, helping families to create more authentic, compassionate and affordable cremations, burials and memorials.

Picaluna is changing the way funerals are done for the better. This change is underpinned by their core purpose to help communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal and rejuvenate. Picaluna also chooses to donate 5% of any profit to one of Picaluna’s Charity partners, of your choice.

The Picaluna partnership supports me in the logistics required to arrange and conduct a funeral; including transfers, registering the death with Births, Deaths & Marriages, access to a vast range of suppliers, mortuary care, and invoicing. This allows me to spend more time with you, crafting and delivering a personalised ceremony, authentic to you.
